I discovered ants in my dishwasher; I am a clean freak who rinses everything thoroughly before I put dishes in the washer. Any suggestions on what to do?

I happen to get quite a bit of spiders in my house. I hate to find them near my babies' cribs. I found a way to eliminate spiders without sprays. Put double sided tape on an index card or scrap paper.
Invest in a metal trash can to store your perishables in. A 30 gallon size is right for my back porch. Hopefully it will slow down the eating habits of the uninvited creatures!
