Use Old CDs as a Bird Deterrent
Do you have birds making nests on your porch or in your plants? Then get some old CDs you don't want, put a strong string through the hole and tie it and take the other (long) end and tie it to your porch so it hangs down.

Keep Birds and Animals Out of the Garden With CDs
This tip doubles as many things. Decoration as well as scarecrow. Take those DVD/CDs you were planning on tossing aside for whatever reason. I used a soldering iron, melted a hole in the edge of the DVD/CD.

Use Magnetic Tape to Discourage Woodpeckers
Do you have problems with a woodpecker rat-a-tat-tat-ing on the side of your house? Or birds in your garden eating up your tomatoes, or the big black birds taking over? The film inside the videos or cassette tapes can be used to scare them away....for a while anyway.

Keeping Birds from Eating Cherries
What can I use to keep birds from eating my cherries before I have a chance to taste them. I tried pie plates, flags, etc. (anything shines). Even me standing on the ladder in the middle of branches they come to have their meal. And I look like a scarecrow, mind you. I know you'll have an answer to this problem. I notice other people are having the same trouble with cherry trees.

We have a birdbath in our backyard. We have big black birds that come to the bath to soak all of their "meals" in it. Is there a way I can keep the black birds from putting all the gross body parts into the bird bath?
