| Use Ramen Noodles in Your Main Course
I make all kinds of meals using ramen noodles. This is one of my faves. Use the same type of meat as the seasoning. Make the ramen noodles as usual. Drain water. Fry your meat with the seasoning.

| Cook for Other Families to Save Money
To save money on groceries, you could find one or two families who you know are very busy and either eat out a lot or order in a lot. See if they would be interested in having you make meals for them. The key is they buy enough groceries to make enough for their family and yours.

| Making Lasagna Affordable
I use coupons and sales to get all the ingredients for lasagna. Many times you can find big sales and use a dollar off coupon for sauces, and cheeses. I also get ground beef on sale and precook it on the weekends. Cooking this up on the weekend helps me save on heating my house on the weekend, and I pack it for my husband's lunches throughout the week and he saves on buying lunch.

| Half The Meat in Hamburger Helper for Kids and Friends
Although I'm not usually crazy about Hamburger Helper, I sometimes use it when I know I'm going to have my kid's friends over for dinner. Feeding teenaged boys can break the bank so I use two boxes of mix to only one pound of meat.

| Use Inexpensive Condiment Brands for Cooking
If you have a specific brand of condiment that you prefer, use the brand that's cheapest for cooking. For example with ketchup, go ahead and buy Heinz for putting on sandwiches, but use the cheaper brand of ketchup for making meatloaf and other dishes that require it.

| Reduce Meat In Recipes By Half
One of the easiest ways to save money on the grocery bill is to cut down on the amount of meat used in a recipe. When making casseroles, soups, stews, pasta dishes, and other meals where meat is not the main dish it is easy to reduce the meat in half.

| Stretching Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
We are a family of six. Two of the six are teenage boys. To stretch my food bill, I buy generic Shells and Cheese. When serving it, I use two boxes, but only use one of the cheese packets.

| Save Pepperoni from Sale Pizzas
When pizzas go on sale and I stock up, I always buy pepperoni. The kids only like cheese pizza though, so I've started plucking off the pepperonis and saving them.
