Use Heavy Whipping Cream To Make Butter
Making your own butter from heavy whipping cream is very easy, saves you money, is better for you than margarine, and you also get buttermilk (an expensive item in the market to buy). Buttermilk is good to drink, and is great for baking and making salad dressings.

Make Your Own 2% Milk At Home
I do not pay for the store to water down my milk, as in 2% and such. We found that we can do this at home. Buy whole milk and add cold water to it. Since this is a matter of taste, you will have to find what suits your family best.

Making Your Own Butter
You don't need a churn to make butter. You can do it THIS way using a hand whisk or an electric mixer at slow speed. In the summer, churn your cream at temperatures between 52 and 60 degrees. In the cooler seasons, try for between 58 and 66 degrees.

What Is Sweet Milk?
I found an old recipe of my mothers from about 65 years ago and it calls for sweet milk in a refrigerated bread dough recipe. I know that this is not sweetened condensed milk and a friend also told me that it was not evaporated milk either. So what is it? I would really appreciate the help. My mother has been dead for about 5 years and my mom's sisters all before her. So I have no one to ask. Thank you.

The Price of Powdered Milk
I would like to hear from ladies who use powdered milk and what you usually pay for a pound. Here in California, it is $4.50 a pound. This is from a bulk bin at a discount grocery. This seems high to me. How much milk do you get from a pound? All the recipes I see go by cups. The price of milk is so high I want to switch but I don't know if it is worth changing. Milk is $3.20 a gallon for comparison.

Easiyo Yogurt Maker Tips
I have been given an Easiyo yogurt maker and as I am used to making my own yogurt I do not want to use their sachets. Has anyone used this to make their own yogurt?

Freezing Sour Milk
Freezing Sour Milk. My kids eat a lot of dairy, but it does happen that we find that a bag of milk, cottage cheese, or yogurt will be sitting in our fridge past its expiration date. . .
