Give Young Kids Ice Chips To Entertain Them When Eating Out
To keep young children occupied while eating out, order a bowl of ice chips. The kids pick them up one by one and eat them. They're so small that it's not a choking hazard and it keeps them quiet for quite some time and allows you to eat in peace and quiet

Mention Disappointments When Eating Out
Don't be too bashful to bring up your disappointments when eating out! List things that you feel are wrong on the back of your dinner ticket and mention it when you cash out to the cashier. Writing it on the form that is often supplied doesn't always get you somewhere.

Add Your Own Nuts To Fast Food Sundaes
If you or your kids love nuts on your sundaes from Dairy Queen or other drive-up ice cream places, bring a baggie of nuts from home. The ice cream shops usually charge 50 cents or more for nuts and a family of 4 could save $2.00 on one visit.
