Will Cantaloupe Ripen in the Fridge?
Will cantaloupe ripen in fridge? I thought it was ready, but it wasn't completely ready. Just the inside edge about an inch was green. It was as big as a bowling ball.

Recipes for Tart Grapes
I bought some grapes recently and they are very tart. Is there anything I can do to them to make them sweeter? Or is there a good recipe that uses tart grapes? I hate to waste them and I know my kids won't eat them this tart. Thanks.

Preventing Fruit Flies
The best way to avoid fruit fly problem is to water wash all produce, especially bananas, as soon as possible. I put the wet produce on a kitchen towel or paper towel, blot it a bit, and let it sit out until its dries thoroughly. If I have a lot of produce, I use a large tray lined with a towel.

Luxurious Lemons
By Kelly Ann Butterbaugh
Normally when I shop, I don't fill my cart with bright yellow lemons. Until recently, that is. Now, after reading about the versatility of lemons in a grocery store flyer, lemons are at home in my fridge.

Fruit Kabobs
I had a Luau birthday party. My mom and I were thinking of how to make the fruits look cool. We had kabobs that same night, that's when I thought of it: Fruit Kabobs.

Creative Ways to Serve Fruit
I was attempting to create a palm tree made from pineapples for a fruit display. In the process, I discovered a creative way to "cut up" my pineapple. I always see pineapples cut into squares or triangle slivers, and I was looking for something different and unusual.

Grate Orange Rind Before Eating
Before I eat an orange, or use the juice of a lemon, I always grate the rind off, and keep frozen in a container. Then when a recipe calls for either, I always have some zest on hand. Handy to have to whip up a special salad dressing, too!

Storing Bananas
If you put your bananas in a plastic grocery bag, in the bottom crisper drawer of your refrigerator, they will keep for about a week before turning black.
