Stick Old Photos to Magnets
My best friend is a photography major. We were going through pictures one night and came across a great idea. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a pack of business card magnets in the school supplies section.

Craft: Frame Calendar Pictures as Gifts
Here is a nice, inexpensive, but still good-looking holiday gift. It's also a good way to recycle old calendar pages.

My Frugal Holiday: Planning Frugal Gifts
How to get through gift giving for the holidays without breaking the bank. I'm the first to admit I am one of the least organized people I know. That being said, when it comes to saving money I am a little less lazy than some people but don't get it confused with my terrible organization skills! When the weather starts getting cooler and the leaves are changing colours, it's always my cue to start preparing gifts for the holidays.

Watch For Seasonal Clearances For Gifts
With a family of 5 kids, there is always a birthday or a holiday around the corner. What we do is always pay attention to the seasons. Seasonally, the store put items such as toys and those kinds of items on sale. We always scope these items out. We have bought $20-30 toys for almost nothing. I am not just talking about toys that were hot last season.

Use Canning Jars to Start Cuttings
Instead of buying a plant for a birthday or housewarming gift, grow one. I have a few old canning jars in my kitchen window, and I grow new plants in water from clippings of older plants. When it has new roots I plant it in dirt and give a homemade gift that will last.

Homemade Gift Bath Scrubby
I buy dollar store soaps in holiday scents, like peppermint or even gingerbread scent. From thrift stores or again the dollar store or any outlet, buy cheap children mittens.

bestdealmagazines.com
I was having a hard time this year coming up with cheaper gifts for friends and family. I found this wonderful magazine site that has many magazines for under $5.00 for a one-year subscription.
