Thriftyfun.com Launches Unique Interactive Newsletter for Gardeners

Port Orchard, WA (PRWEB) April 12, 2006 -- Just in time for spring, ThriftyFun.com (www.thriftyfun.com) has announced the launch of an innovative weekly newsletter featuring articles, growing tips and expert advice for the novice and experienced gardener. The Happy Garden Newsletter is a free weekly newsletter with a unique interactive format that allows readers to chime in, ask questions and offer each other advice. Subscribers are encouraged to become a part of the newsletter by submitting gardening tips, posting photos, asking questions and sharing feedback based on their own gardening experiences.

Most of the newsletter's weekly articles and growing guides are provided Ellen Brown, the website's resident gardening expert, who also responds to reader's questions. Brown says she enjoys answering reader requests, but always looks forward to the feedback provided by subscribers. "This site has an amazingly active user base and hardly a day goes by that I don't learn something new from a fellow gardener. It's wonderful to be part of an online community where people are so willing to share their knowledge."

Allowing readers to interact and share information has already proven to be a winning formula for the ThriftyFun.com website and the three other newsletters it produces. The Happy Garden Newsletter is proving to be no exception. After only 10 issues the newsletter is already boasting nearly 1,000 subscribers. Susan Sanders-Kinzel, owner and administrator of Cumuli, Inc., the website's parent company, and editor of The Happy Garden Newsletter, attributes ThriftyFun's success to the website's many loyal readers and contributors. "We started the idea of sharing Thrifty Tips in 1997, knowing that everyone had good ideas and if we could create a way to pool all of our knowledge, we could create a great resource. ThriftyFun is what it is because of the tremendous participation of all of its members. Each person, through their generosity and by sharing their wisdom, feedback and joining in the discussion of the tips, leaves a trail for others to follow."

The site's interactive format has also turned the ThriftyFun.com website into one most active communities on the web. With topics ranging from Beauty to Finance and from Parenting to Home Improvement, visitors can solicit advice and offer solutions to everyday problems on almost 50 subjects. According to the site's designer, Lewis Sandbeck, ThriftyFun.com receives an average of 20,000 hits per day. Some of that success, he says, can be attributed to their interactive newsletters. "For over 8 years, ThriftyFun has published newsletters full of information to help people save time and money. With great reader participation, ThriftyFun's newsletters have turned into a vibrant part of the ThriftyFun community."
