Holiday Crafts Notice: We reserve the right to save seasonal crafts for the appropriate season. Christmas crafts that are submitted now may not be posted until next Christmas.
If you are an avid crafter, capable writer and own a digital camera, you are eligible to participate. Submit your craft projects to ThriftyFun and we will pay $15 for any crafts submitted on this form that we publish. Crafts should adhere to the following guidelines:
Please read this page entirely before submitting your first craft. If you have already read the guidelines and have a craft to submit, click here to jump to the submission form.
- Craft projects must have clear directions, including a list of materials needed and step by step instructions. As a general rule, craft descriptions should be 200 words or more in length. However, we can envision how some crafts are quite simple and could have fairly short descriptions. As long as the directions are thorough, they can be considered for eligibility.
- Clear photos should accompany any submission. At least one photo of the finished craft is required, additional photos are a big plus.
- The craft must not already be on our website. If you aren't sure, feel free to ask and we will double check. Click here to contact us with any questions.
Here are some terms and conditions:
- You need to provide a PayPal email address or postal mail address for us to send payment.
- If you live outside the US or Canada we cannot deliver the pay for your craft unless you have a Paypal account.
- You must submit the crafts below and not on one of our contest pages. Those submissions will be entered into the contest.
- We can't accept submissions from people that are under 15 years old. Please have your parents submit them for you.
- Payment will be made within 30 days of publication of the craft. We will notify you when your crafts are published. Once you receive that notification, you can expect a payment within 30 days (if you give us a PayPal email address, you will likely get it much faster). If we publish more than one of your crafts, we may combine payments into one check or PayPal payment.
- Craft instructions must be written by you and the photos must be taken by you. You are giving us permission to publish them on ThriftyFun.com.
- We reserve the right to not publish every craft that is submitted, either because of our budget constraints or the quality of the submission. You will get $15 only if the craft is published.

Also: We also would like to get some general "how to" articles posted about subjects like pottery, beading, soapmaking, etc. If you don't know for sure if your craft project will fit on our site, feel free to send us an email to make sure. Our hope is to send out a lot of $15 checks!
