Install a Versatile Shower Head
When it's time to replace your shower head, consider buying one that has a hose on it. It can be detached from the fixture and used to clean a lot of household items. I use ours to wash off baskets, silk flowers, wreaths, lamp shades, etc. Some things fade a little bit, but it has never made a difference if you let it dry in the tub. Also if something is delicate and probably not really supposed to be washed with water, you can give it a quick spray and set it right down to dry without handling it very much.
