Decorative Oil VasesBy Eva Marie Stasiak
Supplies:
Directions: After selecting and gathering all your supplies, remove the cork from your bottle and set aside. Next you will want to cut and size the flowers and grasses you want to use in your bottle so they fit. Leaving some of the items long enough to create a slight bend in the stems can add a nice effect. Insert your flowers and greenery into the bottle; remember if you are using dried flowers to be very gentle so they stay in good condition. The next step is to carefully pour in the baby oil. Do not fill your bottle or vase to the top, stop about 1/2 an inch below where the cork will sit. Bead a small amount of hot glue around the cork before replacing it. This will help to seal the bottle so if it is over turned it shouldn't leak oil everywhere. Finally cut a piece of ribbon to decorate the neck of your bottle or vase if you like.
