Shower Doors are White Instead of Clear

I have tried everything from clr, jif, sugar soap, magic eraser, metho and water, shower power, and a foam type soap scum remover and still the shower is white instead of clear. The shower is a clear glass shower door, and smooth, not the rough type. I do cleaning for a living and this shower has me stumped. The owner uses solvol which doesn't make thing any easier and they don't wipe the shower down what. What do you suggest that I use to get this off?
