A Use for Squishy Onions

If your regular onions have a green top and seem squishy, plant them outside or in a pot of dirt and enjoy the tops any way you like Green Onions. This works with green onions from the fridge too. If they look a little past their prime, even a bit sleazy.
Plant them and enjoy.

This works very nicely with garlic too. If you leave either of them in the ground with a bit of top you may get more onions or garlic.
