Hanging Framed Art and Photos

I have used this tip many times to organize framed art before putting nail holes in your wall. First, trace around you frames on kraft paper to make a template for each picture or other piece you want to hang, then cut it out. Pull your hanging wire on frame taut: measure distance from top of the wire to top of frame. Make a corresponding mark on the template. Lay picture hook on template so bottom of hook is on mark. Make another mark where the nail hole will go. Use drafting tape to hang the templates. When you are pleased with your placement, hammer the nails through picture hooks and into the wall over the marks on the kraft paper. Rip off the paper, leaving nails and hooks in place, and then hang your frames.
