Dog Urine Smell on Hardwood Floors

I am trying to remove set in dog urine from old hardwood floors. It has been set in for a period of time. I have tried mopping with several things, nothing has helped. I now have a newborn who is staying with head congestion. I think this may be why. After I get this problem smell gone for good, I want to put down new floor covering. If anyone can tell me how to rid this smell for good it is appreciated. Thanks.
