We tried baking soda and hand sanitizer as mentioned above but the acetone-based remover we tried worked immediately. Thanks! I always used an SOS pad and LIGHTLY went over Post By fishingal (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorDepending on the color of your floor, just a plain old pencil eraser, red or white, will usually do the trick. Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorWe bought a doublewide mobile home years ago and when they put it together tar got on the bedroom carpet. When they came to replace the carpet the man asked if he could try something before removing the carpet. He sprayed with WD-40 and got all signs of the tar up. (We told them not to remove the carpet, LOL) We have used WD-40 on paint, tar, marks on the floor, all types of things since. I have MY OWN can so I don't have to share with hubby!! Good luck Post by Grandma Barbara RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorI like Mr. Clean Erasers. They are WONDERFUL! Post By debbie (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorA friend of mine told me she had watched a maintenance man at an airport walking around with a tennis ball attached to a handle erasing scuff marks from the floor! Post By Hope (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorThe same way you get scuffs off nice shoes - nail polish remover. Post by CarlaJS RE: Cleaning Rubber Marks off a Vinyl FloorI always use toothpaste, just rub it on wait a few seconds and wipe it off. Post by PICO |
