I'm pregnant this year and going with the bun in the oven costume. It's an oven and has a door on the front that opens with a bun inside. He is going as the chef and on the front of his apron it says, "Bun maker". Very cute!

Create a window with a sill, that can fit over your belly, you can put whatever on the sill of the window, ie" vase with flowers..whatever..and go as a "womb with a view"

My pregnant friend dressed in all black with two yellow lines down the center of her whole body; her child's costume was a car. The theme was "speedbump"!

I am pregnant and was thinking of dressing in all white and wearing a red choker, and painting my belly like a bowling ball, then I would be a bowling pin and bowling ball.

Friends of mine had planned to come to our Halloween party as Jay and Silent Bob from the Kevin Smith movies. All you'd need for the maternity part is beard and a trench coat. They couldn't make it, though, since their 3 year-old got sick at the last minute, so I don't know how it turned out. Just as well, perhaps, since part of Jay's routine is to talk about how fat Silent Bob is -- I'm afraid he might have taken that too far!

When my mother was very pregnant w/ my little brother, she went as a nun and my dad as the devil. She wore a pin that said, "The devil made me do it." They got rave reviews! Now I'm extremely pregnant and thinking of stealing her idea!

I will be 8 months this Halloween, and am taking my 18 month old daughter out trick-or-treating.......my costume consists of an evening gown (maternity, of course), a tiara i bought at the dollar store, and a home-made sash that reads "MISS CONCEPTION"....... add a pair of white gloves to your elbows and a bouquet of flowers for an adult halloween party and i'm sure it'll be a hit... i also kinda like the idea of painting the belly, but i have no idea as what... a little creativity and im sure someone can come up with something

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I dressed as a medieval lady-in-waiting and my husband went as the court jester.

This year, I will be pregnant Padme, my husband will go as Anakin, and our daughter is going to be Yoda. She is almost 2.

Costume ideas for pregnant women

On Halloween I was 7 mo. along. I wore overalls, cowboy boots, a plaid button up shirt, tied a bandana around my neck, tucked my hair up in a cowboy hat and used face paint to create a beard and mustache. Then I used that wax they sell at costume shops and "blacked out" some of my teeth. I went to the party as a pot-bellied farmer. It was great. My big belly really made the costume work. It wasn't the most glamorous, but it got lots of laughs. It was also very comfortable.

Anyone know if there is a place you can buy the pregnant padme costume? I haven't been able to find it anywhere. My husband and me are going as Anakin and Padme...but I'm struggling with figuring out how I'm going to be Padme! Thanks for any help!

If you get a big box, like one that a TV or Microwave comes in, cut holes for your head, and arms. Make sure to get one that will also go below your belly. Decorate it as an oven by painting it, make sure to put controls. You could even buy some old controls at a thrifty shop and glue them on. Cut a window in the front and paint lines around it like an oven door. Then wear something tan over your baby. Your belly will show through the window and by wearing tan, it will look like a bun in the oven.

Just thinking off the top of my head here but I think it would work.

Don't know about a template for a skele-baby , but I have a picture that I can email you and if you are good at artsy stuff, it wont be difficult. Email me at bornkuntry84 @ aol.com (remove spaces) if the picture doesn't show up.

I was also planning on doing the pregnant skeleton thing. I am having trouble finding a template to do the skele-baby. I was thinking I could just reduce the sizes of my adult templates, but I don't have any templetes to do the hands or feet, which could get kinda tricky.

Did you find an online template or instructions for this anywhere?

TIA!!

I saw in a magazine a while back a lady dressed as a skeleton and on her pregnant belly she had a small skeleton baby. It was so cute! That's what I plan on doing this year since I will be 8 months pregnant.

I am pregnant, and my daughter is 2. Me and my husband are dressing up with her. I am going to wear a form fitting chicken costume, and he is going to be the Rooster. Of course our daughter is going to be a baby chick. I figured since I am shaped like a chicken, I might as well go with it.

RE: Halloween Costume Ideas for Couples

We've had fun thru the years going to couples Halloween parties - some more ideas: Al and Peg Bundy, Tim the Tool-man Taylor and Jill, a cow and bull, and mechanic and a Snap-on Chick. My favorite? One couple came as a witch in a tall pointed hat and Abe Lincoln in a stovepipe hat. Half way thru the party they disrobed - as coneheads underneath!!!

The man goes in a black T-shirt with silk screened "Peter Peter" and the woman goes dressed as a pumpkin. THis one went over huge last year and was a very cheap idea.
