Olympic Centerpieces

I need to come up with 14 centerpieces for a Foundation Banquet on the 24th of this month. We are doing an Olympic theme. Does anyone have any ideas for inexpensive centerpieces? Please respond here or email me (see link below). Thank you!

Since the games are in Bejing, how about Asian inspired centerpieces? They don't have to have the 5 Olympic rings, just oriental table covers and colors, etc--Bamboo centerpieces?

I don't know if you got any email responses but here are my ideas. The colors of the Winter Olympics are blue, white, gold and a orange-red. They have the 5 rings and gold or multicolored snowflakes on most of their trademarked items.

You could find some hoops or even slice up old bleach bottles to form white rings. if you cut them several inches wide you could then notch them to hook them together so they look like the normal Olympic logo. Then with the rings (hooked together) lying on the table, put in flowers of the other colors of the Olympics (gold, orange-red and blue.) You may be able to find some brass hoops that would work well too and look fancier. You can put a little hot glue where they overlap as in the logo.

Look at the Olympics 2002 site and see what products and designs they have.
