Save Net Bags For Produce

To save bringing home all those plastic produce bags, I save all the net bags that oranges, onions, etc. come in and take them to the store to put my fruits and vegs in them. They have almost no weight, so don't worry about paying extra at the scale. They wash and dry easy too!

You can also make your own by using tulle or hand-knitting them with twine "bait bag" style if you grew up in New England and know how to knit a bait bag or a lobster trap head, it's very similar.

I think this is such a good idea and I will be using it.

I use those mesh produce bags for kitchen scrubbies. Just fold up a bag or two, tie a rubber band around the opening and use it to scrub dishes or the sink with. You can even fold it around a sponge and have a sponge scrubbie. It's the same thing that you buy in the store.
