I rewash everything adding about about a quarter cup of bleach in with a full load. It not only removes the stains, but surprisingly brightens but doesnt dull the colors. You can test one item at a time if you prefer, but since the clothes are unwearable at this point, what have you got to lose? Hope this helps.
