Hi Teddy,
I tried everything to remove the hardwater deposits with the exception of dynomite! I wrote a review of a product I found on the internet called 'Touch of Oranges' worked like a charm. I used a buffer that you use on cars just so my arms wouldn't get so strained. Here is the website if you are interested in reading more about it.

I would use CLR. You may be able to get these off with a spray of vinegar as well. If they are heavy, I would go with the CLR.
