Sweat Smell on Leather BeltWhen I got to the article that was causing the sweaty smell, I nearly passed out. The smell was so stinky and horrible. And what was it? It was my favorite leather belt. My question is this: Does anyone know how to get a stinky, sweaty smell out of a leather belt? The belt is made of very smooth brown leather. The belt is stinking up my house and I don't know what to do. Please help me fix my sweaty stinky smelly leather belt. Try hanging the belt outside in the hot sun for an hour or so. Keep a check on it to make sure it won't fade if it is dyed. Maybe something was spilled on it and it needs to be dried out. Another idea if the belt is dry not damp, is to put it into a large airtight container with an ample amount of newspaper. Wrap the belt loosely with a paper towel first so the ink doesn't transfer onto the belt. Leave it in the container for one week. This method is useful for other things that have absorbed unwanted odors. Post by mkymlp |
