Information About Spooling for Fly Thread

In a recent post about extra income, a guest poster named Alica said "I'm not sure what area you live in, but I live in the Midwest, where we have LOTS of rivers and lakes and fishing is quite
popular. I work at home for a fly company spooling their fly thread, it's just part-time." How would I find out more about this type of work?
