Sugar Free Recipes and AdviceGlinda from Glendale, KY Feedback About This Post:RE: Sugar Free Recipes and Advice
DON'T DIET. Go to Mercola.com, instead, for some of the best newsletters and health information I've read in a long time. Also, replace sandwich bread with Pita Pocket bread, warmed in Microwave for 15 sec. then stuffed with whatever. Breads, cookies, cereals, and many desserts contain gluten which puts belly fat on us! it's what is also used in cattle feed, so let's fight back and refuse to buy it because it will kill us and we will die f a t, f a t , f a t. Milk fat also is one of the Number ONE offenders to watch in cheese, gravies, ICE CREAMS, and on cereals. Post By Lynda (Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and AdviceMy dietician said that Splenda was OK for diabetics. When I inquired that a pal was trying to push me to use Stevia. The dietician said Stevia was "too sweet for diabetics". Hope this helps. Post by badwater RE: Sugar Free Recipes and Advicein regard to splenda i recently heard it is not that healthy i switched to stevia wich is a all sweetner made from plant leaves you can purchase it at a health food store Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and AdviceThese were good tips. However I would like to say that I don't 'diet". But I'm always looking for healthy recipes. And it seems like all recipes that people post on forums, etc. sound Yummy - but have a lot of fat and/or sugar. Also, anything seems tp taste good if it has a lot of cheese or cheese sauce in it. But poor me, I am lactose intorlerant so need other ways of making things taste good. Especially veggies.Any ideas? As for sugar substitute. My 2$ worth of advice is - I wouldn't use Splenda. I don't trust artificial sweeteners. But Stevia is natural and good. A little expensive maybe, but worth it I love soda but now drink Seltzer instead. No sugar or sweetener and a natural fizz. I hate plain water so I add a little OJ to it. It tastes good and I get the benefits of the OJ too. Pam in RI. Post by pam2cats RE: Sugar Free Recipes and Advice

(Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and AdviceADD SOME CRYSTAL LIGHT DRY TO FAT FREE COOL WHIP AS A FRUIT DIP. VERY REFRESHING! Post By Carol Tewksbury (Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and AdviceOne thing I do for a treat or snack or dessert, is fix a box of sugar free jello, mixing in just the one cup of hot water, stir to dissolve. Then instead of adding cold water I add a carton of fat free/lite yogurt. If the yogurt is 8 oz. size, that is enough, if it is a 6 oz. size container, then add 1/4 cup cold water. Mix thoroughly. I do key lime jello with key lime yogurt, peach with peach, lemon with lemon, etc. The only combination I did not like as much was black cherry. You can add well drained fruit if you like. Use fat free whipped topping and you have a great dessert. Post By Linda L (Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and Advice

I found an absolutely wonderful site for dieting. Very reasonably priced at only $20.00 per YEAR. No hidden charges either. Lots of support, diets, recipes, etc. Post By Darlene (Guest Post) RE: Sugar Free Recipes and Advice
Are you looking for low-carb, in general? First, I would suggest going to splenda.com and signing up for their newsletter and promotions (coupons). They are the best in terms of carb-free sweetner, with little/no side effects. Eat lots of vegetables, especially salad (actually a "free" food in terms of carbs) and look for foods high in dietary fiber. And drink lots of water, or you can make kool-aid with splenda (and they have a cute promotion with a free spoon on specially marked packages!) You can even make hot cocoa with it (with baking cocoa), but mix the splenda cold before adding hot milk! When you buy applesauce, get unsweetened; Treetop seems to make the best, only using juice, and A LOT less sugar! Post by camo_angels |
