Making Regular (Baked) Bread in a Bread Machine

Does anyone know how to use a bread machine to make regular bread? I want the bread machine to do the work and then put it in a regular bread pan to finish and look like a real loaf of bread.

I make mine like this ,I use 2 bread machines though so that I can bake 2 at one time,[also a saving by not baking one at a time], the bread makers will last longer too when they are just used on the dough setting, my daughter's bread machine [ newer than my 2 ] burned out months ago! sometimes I make one of them currant bread, or cinnamon nut bread. & I always put 2 to 3 teasp of lemon juice in with the water - makes a much lighter loaf.

Just use the dough setting of the machine. This is a shorter cycle than one which bakes, so don't leave your dough in the machine once it is done. Shape into a loaf and place the bread in a pan, let rise, bake in the oven. Look into bread recipes for the correct oven temp and time.

This is the recipe I use. Set bread machine for dough setting. When done, place dough in greased loaf pan and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake @ 350º for 30 minutes. Cool and slice. Sturdy bread like sandwich bread.

Hi Tricia!
I make bread like this all the time. Just put your ingredients (enough for 1 loaf of bread) in the bread machine. First put in the liquid and the shortening or oil, then add the salt, sugar, flour and yeast. Set your bread machine to the "Dough" cycle. After a few minutes of mixing and kneading, it will beep. At this point, click the Stop or Off button. Remove the pan from the machine, and dump the dough into a greased bowl. Turn once, cover with a towel and let rise until double in bulk. Shape into a loaf and place in greased loaf pan. Turn the oven on to 375º to preheat Let it rise again until just a little above the edge of the pan. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and let set for about 2 minutes and then dump from the pan onto a thick towel. Wrap hot bread in the towel and let it set until cool. Slice and eat or store in a plastic bag until ready to slice and serve.
Here is my favorite white bread recipe.
1 cup warm water ½ teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil ( I use olive or canola oil)
2 Tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Yeast. (or 1 package)
3 ½ cups white flour
Or you can make whole wheat by using
2 cups white flour 1 cup whole wheat flour and
½ cup of gluten (available in health food stores)
