Craft: Handprint Turkey
Approximate Time: 1 hour Supplies:
Instructions:1. Trace your child's hands and feet on to the cardboard. Smooth out the lines where you traced the toes so that it is no longer bumpy. Cut them out.
2. Using the cardboard patterns, trace each hand once onto the red, orange, and yellow construction papers. Trace each foot once onto the brown construction paper. Cut them out. 3. Take the construction paper feet, overlap the heels ('big toes' pointed outward) and glue together. This creates the body of the turkey.
4. Take all of the construction paper hands, alternating colors, and fan them out. Staple together where they overlap. This creates the feathers.
5. Glue hands onto the BACK of the turkey body. Reinforce with tape.
6. Cut the 'wobble' out of red paper, the 'beak' out of orange paper and the 'feet' (x2) out of orange paper. 7. Glue feet to the turkey body. 8. Glue 'wooble' to the back of the beak. 9. Glue eyes onto the head of the turkey. 10. Glue beak/wobble just below the eyes. By Laurel from Port Orchard Feedback About This Post:RE: Craft: Handprint TurkeyThis looks adorable.
