Buying Bulk Dog Food

I like to buy dog food in 40-50 lb. bags to save money but cannot fit the large bag upstairs where I feed my dogs. So I keep the large bag in the basement and fill an ice cream bucket with the food for storage upstairs.

RE: Buying Bulk Dog Food

I just found a site called www.petfooder.com, which sells pet food in bulk and has free shipping for orders over $25. They offer the Innova brand that I feed my dog and cat, which I couldn't previously find online in bulk, great deal!

RE: Buying Bulk Dog Food

Hi All--We store our dog food in a large trash can with a tight fitting lid. BTW-We belong to the Purina Pro Plan. Anyone can join online. You sign up at Purina.com, and save the point circles on the bags of dry food. After you save up enough, send them in and Purina sends you checks for $7.00 off a bag of food. What this comes down to, is we pay $7-8 for a $14-15 bag of food. Our dogs are healthy, and one is 13 years old and still quite active. They seem to flourish on Purina.

RE: Buying Bulk Dog Food

We buy our dog food in bulk as well. We put it in a large plastic garbage can we bought at Walmart and keep it on our back porch. It stays fresh and dry.

Buy Pet Food In Bulk

Along with your groceries, buy your dry pet food in bulk. It's cheaper per pound. Store it in ziploc baggies or plastic containers to keep it fresh. I keep my pets' dry foods on the shelf and it works just fine. If you have space in your freezer that's even better.
