Usually you can use an ice cube to harden the gum then use peanut butter to remove it. This site has complete instructions.

If the coat can be washed, take a small bit of peanut butter and massage into the gum. The gum should release easily and a wash should remove the peanut butter. If doubtful, try a inconspicuous area of the coat.
