Thanks so much for the vinegar and baking soda! I spilled dark brown hair dye all over the counter and stairs and my mom wasn't as mad because at least I knew how to get it out. Thanks again!

Baking soda and vinegar worked great. It didn't remove finish. It took a while. I put on rubber gloves & worked baking soda & vinegar paste into the grain of the wood w/ my fingers, then sprayed with vinegar & wiped clean. I had to do it several times. You can't see any sign of stain or discoloration from scrubbing! Thanks - I didn't think it would come out!

Magic Eraser totally works if it's new (few days old). I had it on my cabinets in my bathroom, and was freaking out, wondering how I was going to get it off, before my mom noticed. There was also another dye stain on the kitchen cabinets (a few years old- didn't know what could get it out) and I used the Magic Eraser on it too. I had to rub harder and longer, but it came out. The only thing is that the harder you rub, it starts to take off the varnish (if it's old).

I died my hair dark red on Tuesday night. Today's Friday. I accidentally got it on my wooden vanity. I JUST noticed yesterday, but I had to leave before I could do anything about it. Is it still possible to get it out? I'm so worried. What if it doesn't come out? It's on the door so I suppose I could replace it but that might be expensive.

Thank you, thank you! It works! ALso, if you make a paste with vinegar and baking soda, let it sit for 15 mins before rubbing with SOS pad it that helps too

Holy @#$% Magic Eraser got it out! My floor is older and I was worried it had gone beyond the finish as I had left it over night without noticing! Didn't harm the finish and removed the stain 100% in seconds!

This really works. Put jifs lemon juice (the one u use on pancakes) and white vinegar in a bowl then get a sponge and scrub where your hair dye is. I did it and it worked.
