Butter Corn on the Cob as a Batch

My family loves corn on the cob. They all complain about buttering their corn, even with the new squirt butter, which I did not like to buy since it rather pricey! I buy the aluminum throw away pans when they are on sale and use one to butter the corn. Melt butter in the throw away aluminum pan plus add any seasoning you like, salt, pepper, etc. Place ears of steamed corn in the melted butter and use tongs to turn each ear of corn until buttered, serve in the aluminum pan. It is also a great way to carry the cooked corn if, you are taking to another location. Once you are finished with serving, you can simply wash the aluminum pan and use the next time.

We like to butter a slice of bread, then roll the ear of corn on it in your hand. It butters the corn and you have a buttered piece of bread to eat too! Cindy,Kalkaska,Mi

At the County Fair here (and other events I have gone to like it) always have a coffee pot (metal one) with hot water in it...then you add the butter which melts and floats to the top. You dip the ears of corn into the coffee pot and then pull it out...corn is coated and ready to eat.
