Cordless Phone Reviews

I am looking for advice on cordless phones. We have had 3 different ones in the past couple of years and each of them had different problems from batteries dying too easily to hearing other peoples conversations to being very staticy. Does anyone have a cordless phone that they love? Before I go buy another one, I would like to know what works so I don't waste my money again.

I'm not sure what we have now but it's a dual handset and charger. We haven't had a year yet and had to replace the batteries already. :-(

I have an older model Panasonic that I've had for many years. It worked fine but one of the kids knocked the 3 out. So we can only use it for incoming calls, stored numbers, or calls with no 3 in the number. :-(

I have wasted a lot of money on junky cordless phones....panasonic, southwestern bell, others. I now have two Unidens, recommended by a cousin, and they work fine and have lots of great features including caller ID capability. I got them on sale at Walmart for about $14.

Panasonic is the best and I have had them all! I wouldn't use any other, I am very picky when it comes to phones.

Good luck :)

I have a Motorola MA351 that I've had for about 3-4 years. There have been no problems and only had to buy a new battery recently.

I agree with tiffany. We have a VTECH also with an answering machine and just love it. We have had no problems.

The brand that I've had the best luck with is VTECH. They usually cost a bit more but have always worked great and better than any other brand I've bought.

Wow! I logged in to suggest Uniden also! I got mine at Costco - it has 3 handsets, caller-id and answering machine for about $90. With a family of 6 the 3 handsets come in handy and one is always charged! Just don't charge them until they are dead. My phones even show how much battery is left so I can use the lowest battery one the most so I can run it down and charge it.

Don't forget to buy a phone surge protector. They make a big difference. We lost several phones to surges and lightning before installing one.

I agree with Lynn. I have 2 Uniden phones that we've had for 6-7 years. One was even dropped in water and still worked. They are GREAT. Never had a single problem with them. Bought a new one that is 2.4 ghz (or whatever the newest ones are) because of our wireless internet connection and I also sing it's praises.

I have a Uniden Dual Handset, (2 phones, 2 charging bases) with caller i.d. I got it at Wal-Mart for $39.99 and I love it. I've had several different cordless phones that were more expensive and this one is really the best. The batteries last a long time between chargings, no static. I am very happy with this one. Good Luck.

Dear Kelly, I don't know if they're available in your area or not, but I've had really good luck with Uniden cordless phones.
