Strong Necklace ThreadBy ThriftyFun Feedback About This Post:RE: Strong Necklace ThreadI agree w/ the NO on fishing line ,fireline and a few others are ok not dental floss, just think of how they disintgrate on normal wear! you want your jewelry to last ,your work is important and so is your reputation for strong jewelry don;t be cheap with either. lay80di,Jazzabell's creations Post by 80di RE: Strong Necklace ThreadNO! I MAKE JEWELRY, & if you want the necklace to last (especially if you want to hand it down to your daughter or something), use jewelry wire from your local craft store - something with a nylon coating. UV rays break down fishing wire, & your necklace will just end up busting again! BeadFusion.com has great how-tos. Post By Marie (Guest Post) RE: Strong Necklace Thread
Don't use monofilament fishing line!!(That's the cheap stuff). It stretches, and degrades. The GSP lines (Fireline, Power Pro, Spiderline Fusion) are good for bead stringing, but not cheap. Post by Kaytee RE: Strong Necklace Thread
Failing that (you might not have any fishing line handy) try using Dental Floss - it works just the same, it's very cheap and VERY strong too! Post by Monique63 |
