If you can't use the oxy crystals and vinegar on the finished part of the wood furniture, what can you use? Any other suggestions? Post By beth (Guest Post) RE: Smoke Smell in Wood Cabinet
I washed the unfinished surfaces with Oxy crystals dissolved in hot water and rinsed immediately with strong vinegar water. Sometimes a second attempt is necessary but it really works! I would not use it on the finished surface as it could mark or ruin it Post By sharon (Guest Post) house fireI had a house fire, and have a lot of wood chopping blocks and stuff that I am trying to keep. is there anything that would help get the smoke smell out of them. They were not burned but got smoke damage. Post By john (Guest Post) Archived Request: Smoke Smell in Wood Cabinet
I am trying to find a way to remove a smoke smell from my grandmother's wooden dining room furniture. It was made in 1962 and she and my grandfather smoked heavily. The wood is not coated with polyurethane so I am nervous about using harsh cleaning products. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Post by ThriftyFun |
