Fingernail Polish on Carpet

My little sister spilled fingernail polish, red and blue, all over my carpet and one of my sweaters. Does anyone know what I can use to get it out? I tried fingernail polish remover but it made it worse.

Fingernail polish on everything

My brother just washed and dried all my children's laundry with Fingernail polish. It is all over everything. How can I quickly get this out? Is there something I can pour into the washer?

RE: Fingernail Polish on Carpet

I have an all time favorite cleaner for all stains on carpets. It's called Simple Green. I own a Bissel carpet cleaner and have used it many times. read the bottle and check an area of your carpet before use. This stuff full stregnth can clean grease and oil off a car motor. Use it as a pre soak.

Not sure if this will work but there is a product by Zep called "Erase", not sure if it will work on carpet though. Or, try checking at your local industrial or janitorial cleaning store, they may have some helpful hints.
