Leaves Turning Brown On Dogwood Tree

I have planted a dogwood tree and it was doing splendidly but now the leaves have all turned brown and I believe it is dying. This is the second tree that has done this. Any suggestion?

I suspect 2 things. The first is not enough water. When you plant in the spring or summer you have to really pour the water to them. A fall planting may insure enough water from rain but don't count on it. It depends on your rainfall. Another thought is that the place you bought it from didn't take very good care of it and it was already doomed before you got it. One other thing comes to mind.

We bought 12 fruit trees this year and the nursery owner told us that you should always get trees that were grown in the area where you're going to plant them. He said that trees grown, for instance, in the Willamette Valley of Oregon don't do well on the eastern side of the state because the climate is very different. Maybe one of those things are what has happened to your tree.

I live in KY and mine are also looking poorly
It is likely dur to the dry weather conditions we have had
Are your berries set? That is a sign of a healthy tree

Look at your trunk for signs of damage (bores, or from the mower or weed eater) andy damage really sets up the tree for an early demise ans bores LOVE to geti nto the wounds
