Chihuahua Puppy Poops In Crate
She poops even if she pooped just before I put her in the crate. I've tried making half the crate her bed and the other half were she can go on the pad, but when she poops she is making a mess because she tearing or scratching the heck out of both the pad and her bed. I bought a doggy play pin and I tried to leave her in that but she climbs out of it. HELP!!

It just so happens that I have a 3 month old chi also named Bella who whines and poops in her cage at night. I'm working on the potty training. I'm trying to get her to go outside but her previous owner had her on a potty mat. Should I keep her on the mat? What should I do about her night-time habits?

I have that same problem. However she poops in her in bed and rolls around in it I have to give her a bath everyday and she whines ALL NIGHT.

kennel training chahuhua puppy
I am having some problems training my Chihuahua to sleep in a kennel. She cr's like crazy and doesn't stop. It is keeping everyone awake at night, and my husband gets up at 3 in the morning. I just got her three days ago. Her name is Twila. Can someone help me? Thank You Helga Dryden, Ontario

Use a baby gate to block her in the bathroom and put newspapers down over all the floor in there. She is pooping in the crate because of extreme anxiety in there for some reason.

This is so funny to me because I have 2 Chihuahua's! They are very intelligent but seem to have a mind of their own! I could give you tips but believe me, they are going to do what they want to! Just continue to love her and, trust me, one day she will catch on and do what you want. It takes time and love but things will work out eventually. I promise! Good Luck and love that doggie!

Also, have a radio playing softly in the background - either music or [my dogs] like the talk shows; and a 1 or 2 of her toys in the crate.

Hello,
The crate is probably too big. The crate has to have just enough room for the dog to turn around in and that's it. If you have a crate with a divider than use it. Do not put any pads in there, only her bed, and make sure there is only room for the bed to lay down and her on it. A dog won't soil a place where it has to lay.
