How To Decoupage Candles

- Sealer
- Glue
- Paper cutouts
- Oil based varnish
- Clear Tape
- Sanding Pad
The Technique
- Mark the area of your design on the candle
- Gently sand the area to be painted with a sanding pad.
- Thinly coat the area with varnish.
- Allow 24 hours to pass.
- Apply another thin coat.
- Apply paper cutouts with glue

I decoupaged candles a while back using the instructions I found here. These instructions don't require varnish, only a decoupage sealant. Seems like varnish would be flammable.
