Looking for a Straight or Mermaid Style Prom DressTaylor from Illinois Feedback About This Post:RE: Looking for a Straight or Mermaid Style Prom DressI don't know if you're still looking, but there's a black mermaid style dress listed for $20 on FormalXchange.com. It's a halter top with an open back, size small, about 4/6. Check it out. Post by nytbest RE: Looking for a Straight or Mermaid Style Prom DressI would try a thrift store or Goodwill. There are also higher end "gently used" second hand stores out there. My daughter got all her prom dresses at a local one of these and the most we ever spent was $42.00, the least senior prom $12.00! I live in Illinois too and have recently read about prom-dress re-sales through local high schools and in clothing resale shops. I'll bet you can find something similar near you if you call around! Post By Cindy (Guest Post) RE: Looking for a Straight or Mermaid Style Prom DressCan you sew? Straight style evening gowns seem to be the style this year and many are rated easy/simple in difficulty.
