Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old Dresser
Use an old dresser to make a vanity for your bathroom. I crackled this one and then also did some sanding to bring out the gold, as this was the basecoat. Then I stenciled over the top and poly coated it.

Sorry, I am so late in getting back to this. My son actually cut out the drawer in the back to fit the plumbing ( the right one) but the front of the drawer was still usable so he put a divider there and I store my makeup in the small space to the front. Post By Elaine (Guest Post) RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old DresserBeautiful!!! Post by wvrdnkwmn RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old DresserI would imagine she shortened the drawers so the plumbing would fit, or only uses the ones not affected by the plumbing, like the top left and bottom drawers. This is absolutely gorgeous! Great job!!! Post by VirtualCherub RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old DresserVery attractive, you did a nice job. In fact my bathroom is too small for a large sized vanity. I also wondered how you were able to do the plumbing job? The only way that I think that this could be done would be to disassemble three of the drawers by removing the actual drawers so the vanity would have a false front and by using wood screws so no one would try and open the drawers. Post by MCW RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old DresserVery, very, inventive and NICE. You did a great job. Elaine! Post by jjager RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old Dresserthis is a great idea! I would also love to know how you did the plumbing. Post by tthompson RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old DresserSeveral years ago a friend of mine also did this with a beautiful old walnut dresser and it looked great in her remodeled bathroom. I like yours better because it is light and suits a bathroom. It is really lovely and you did a wonderful job. Did it take a long time to do?? Was the dresser expensive? How on earth did you do the plumbing around the drawers? Post by Lisingreece RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old Dresser
Very pretty and such a great idea.I would have loved to see how the plumbing was done inside--- with all those drawers. Post by Lily May RE: Make a Bathroom Vanity from an Old Dresser
