Different Ideas for a Baby ShowerThanks, Janice D. Feedback About This Post:RE: Different Ideas for a Baby ShowerOne of the most thoughtful things I have seen done at a baby shower for my Daughter-in-law was to give small gifts to her OTHER child as well, so that he didn't feel left out. A close friend gave him an I'M THE BIG BROTHER t shirt. He wore that to the hospital. Don't forget the little ones whose nose gets knocked out of place by the new baby. - Sharon, KY Post by ThriftyFun RE: Different Ideas for a Baby ShowerFor my Daughter-in-law's shower, she already had quite a few clothes so we attached a MOM's WISH LIST to invitations. The things she needed most were Huggies, baby wipes, towels bath items,(you get the picture). She got enough of these thins to last a year or longer and it made shopping so much easier than guessing. If the mother needs a cradle or basinette, some of you chip in and then fill it with the necessities. - Sharon, KY Post by ThriftyFun RE: Different Ideas for a Baby Shower
How about giving the gift of time? Post By Coleen (Guest Post) RE: Different Ideas for a Baby Shower
My sister and friend gave me a shower for my third boy. Everyone brought baby need items and placed them in a well basket. Some brought things for me or my other boys. My son's now 11 months, and we still have wipes and just started buying diapers a month ago! Showers are supposed to be way for friends to help out and show they care. Diapers, baby powder, baby wipes, shampoo, diaper rash cream, all that kind of stuff is always needed. Post By Crystal (Guest Post) RE: Different Ideas for a Baby Shower
We have had diaper/baby wipes showers, casserole showers (ready for the freezer), etc. The purpose of the shower is to help the family of the new baby with items they need so it makes sense to have a theme shower especially when it is a second or third child. Post By Carolyn (Guest Post) RE: Different Ideas for a Baby ShowerDiaper showers are all the rage in my area right now and not just for Mom"s of multiples. Most stores will exchange bag of bag if the baby outgrows a particular size before she can use all of them Post by johnsonya |
