How do you decorate sliding glass doors with curtains?

We are living in Japan in base housing and have a huge back sliding door, there are 4 panels. What I did was take those scotch white hooks, the ones with the sticky backs on them, and put those on both top corners of each glass. I bought one of those cheap round curtain rods and just laid it on the hooks with the curtain. You can't even tell how they are hung up there. People ask me all the time, "How did you get curtains up on there like that?" I just tell them with a curtain rod. No one has ever figured it out.
