St Patrick's Day Party Games

St Patrick's Day Party Games
St. Patrick's Day is a great day for a party, besides all the wonderful St. Paddy's day parades you can go to. It is the day that every one is Irish. So this year why not celebrate with a small party with friends and family. Here are some fun games you can play. I am going to divide them into Kids games and adult games.

Kids Games

Find The Lucky Shamrock

Cupcakes are always easier to serve when you are having a children's party. When you bake the cupcakes bake one with a shamrock charm inside. Make sure that this is big enough that the kids can't swallow it. The kid that gets the cupcake is the winner.

Over The Rainbow

Have a starting point that has the first clue that says something like take three big steps and turn left to find your first clue. Have the kids follow the clues until they find the rainbow. Have a rainbow taped to the wall and underneath have a pot of gold which can be as easy as a bowl of candies or small prizes. You could also reuse that plastic cauldron you got to give away Halloween candy in for the pot of gold.

Shamrock Sticks

Find a good graphic of a shamrock online. Cut out as many as the children that are attending the party. Glue each shamrock to a Popsicle stick and have them kneel on a chair and have them drop them over the back of the chair into a bowl. The winner is the one that gets the most into the bowl.

Color the Leprechaun

Have the kids color pictures of Leprechauns that you have printed out on the computer. Award ribbons for the most imaginative use of color, True to life, Staying in the lines, Most artistic.

Adult Parties

Drinking Games

Any drinking game is good if the party is for a group of young of age adults. Green beer is a favorite at this type of party. But for a non-alcohol party you could play the same games with a punch made of green Kool-aide and Seven-Up.

Paddy's Word Scramble

Take 10 words like Leprechaun, Irish, Cabbage, fortune, green, shamrock, Saint, Paddy, blarney, Ireland or think up your own and give each person 1 minute to unscramble the words. The winner could win a shamrock ribbon made by you.

Wearing of the Green

Ask your guests to wear as much green as possible. The one who shows up wearing the most green (Don't be surprise if someone wears green underwear) wins the "Wearing Of The Green" contest. Tell them they can even layer on the clothes and can paint their faces if they want.

St. Paddy's Day Potluck

Ask each of your guest to bring a green food. Award prizes for the best use of color, ugliest green food, Yummiest green food. You get the idea. But tell them that their creations have to be edible.
