Keeping Grocery Bags from Falling in Trash CansBy Tony Feedback About This Post:RE: Keeping Grocery Bags from Falling in Trash CansWe do this only we put a large thick rubber band around the garbage can to keep it from falling in Post By Mary (Guest Post) RE: Keeping Grocery Bags from Falling in Trash CansI have a 13 gallon size trash can in my kitchen that I use regular trash bags in. But due to the weight of the trash, the bag usually slipped into the can. I cut off the thick elastic waist band of a skirt I didn't want and put the band around the bag that was hanging over the sides. The bags never slip inside the can anymore. Post By Cynthia M. (Guest Post) RE: Keeping Grocery Bags from Falling in Trash Cansexcellent tip! Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Keeping Grocery Bags from Falling in Trash CansHi Tony, This is a neat idea. However, the handle of the bag can be pulled out slightly & tie a knot in it. This will keep it from sliding down in the can but still be loose enough to remove. (and no hooks to buy & install).
