Totally Awesome - cleaner found at the dollar store for $ 1.00 per spray bottle works great! This stuff is so good it will take the paint off of walls.

hey..uhm..my mom was curling my hair for a bigg occasion (my cousin's wedding) and she kept spraying hair spray on the barrel while the curl was on it and i thought ii was doomed and id have to throw it out nd get a new one..and when ii got it hot and put it to my hair id try to curl it nd it would not work but when ii read all these comments ii decided to use nail polish remover on it and ii did and it pretty much took off some of the residuee..

nd now im soo happy that ii dunt have to throw it out and return itt...

My daughter has a CHI flat iron and she was told to clean it with alcohol when it is either hot or cold. She says it works.

Use what you have handiest and most easiest....hair shampoo! It removes it from your hair, it will do the same for your curling iron!
