Removing old dried blood that has been on an armchair for a long time. Others have tried to clean it off without success.

Try ammonia and water. I got blood out of a recliner using just ammonia and water. Takes alot of rags and time, but it was successful.

Try hydrogen peroxide. It is very effective on blood and other protein stains. Saturate the spot, rub in a little OxyClean or baking soda, cover it and let it sit for several hours. Rinse off with cold water. Repeat, if necessary.

I have always heard that milk will remove blood stains because both are proteins. Can't vouch for it though because I've never tried it. Seems like it would leave a milky smell behind.
