Customizing Your Luggage

I have plain, black luggage, which looks like many others. To identify mine, I took acrylic craft paint, and using a stencil, painted a flower. On the larger pieces, I used the end of a dowel to put pink polka dots on them. They were easily spotted, even at a distance!

I did that too, and it works well, plus sometimes you get compliments from other travelers.

RE: Customizing Your Luggage

GREAT IDEA !! I did the yarn thing the last time I went home to La and I was not alone. I think I'll take this advice next time around. Thanks for the post !

RE: Customizing Your Luggage

Your hint made me smile. Just last night I painted a lily on each side of my suitcase. I'm on my way to Florida from northern Canada.
My friend said she uses a piece of yarn orange or pink on her luggage handle. When I picked my son up at the airport I noticed many suitcases with pieces of pink and orange wool. Not much help there, I think!
