Valentine Cookie Bouquet
The bouquet pictured has 8 Valentine Day Cookies neatly arranged in a large mug. I still have to wrap it in cellophane and tie it at the top with a fancy ribbon. I donated it to our senior citizen's group in February to be used as one of the door prizes. I used the Strawberry Valentine Cookie recipe, then used the decorating sprinkles. By MCW from NYFeedback About This Post:RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetHow pretty! They look delicious. Nice job! Post by cynhalo RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetI used a small piece of green floral block in the bottom of the mug to support the cookie bouquet. Also the bottom of the mug is quite heavy and won't tip over with the cookies inside. I bought a package of sucker sticks at a craft store. Post by MCW RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetWhat are you putting in the bottom of the mug to weight it down and are you using wood skewers and where did you find them. Post by kellie366 RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetNestle Nesquik contains the sugar already in the mix. I tried to buy an off-brand strawberry drink mix in one of the other grocery stores, but couldn't find it. So I had to buy the Nestle name brand. It gives the cookies just a hint of strawberry flavor, and it's not necessary to decorate them exactly as shown in the recipe. Post by MCW RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetWhat kind of strawberry drink mix did you use for the cookies? Is it pre-sweetened? Post By Lisa from Lena, WI. (Guest Post) RE: Valentine Cookie BouquetI chose a mug in place of a Valentine vase or a plastic champagne glass. Senior citizens are big coffee drinkers, and the person who wins this bouquet would more than likely throw out a useless container. Also I was able to buy 3 brand new coffee mugs at 49 cents each at a second hand thrift store. Post by MCW RE: Valentine Cookie Bouquethow about placing your darling cookies in a valentine's vase or valentine's champagne glass (plastic) from the dollar store instead of the mug for a little more "holdiay spirit" and flair??? wouldn't cost much and would look terrific! best of luck to you, grmmynet Post by grmmynet | ||
