Don't complain the first several times. But after a while, at the beginning of a ten-minute dusting blitz, make a suggestion of some kind. I'm not sure what it is you don't like, so use these examples with a grain of salt. "Did you know the whisk broom is good for getting dust off the top of books (with no dusting spray)?" "I try to periodically get into the back of this section, which is easier if you just lift this." Then once you can tell whether he understands your hint, leave him alone, without watching him dust.
