Cattleman's Banquet DecorationsPlease help! Alissa from California Feedback About This Post:RE: Cattleman's Banquet DecorationsHere is another idea that I did. I went to various thrift stores and purchased boots of any kind; new and mostly old. They look better. Took them home and cleaned them really well with a scrub brush, then put different types of dried grasses inside them. Then I also purchased old cowboy hats and borrowed some and laid onto the toe of the boot. Then took barbed wire cut into about 6 inch pieces and twisted it to look like a curled ribbon and laid it down the centers of the tables. Then laid work gloves around in different spaces along with fall colored fake leaves and votive candles. It was a hit! Post By renaethe1 (Guest Post) RE: Cattleman's Banquet DecorationsOne year for a banquet I made decorations out of raffia, cutting it in about 4-6in lenghts. tied a bow around the middle and twisted it to make it look like an old time bale of hay the ones that stand like stacks. then used burlap and made minature gunny sacks with small sand bags inside. I then took a popsicle stick and glued pictures of various events of the ffa and 4h kids together onto the stick. one on each side. Stuck that into the gunny sack and stood them onto the table. I also had pine cones and laid them along the tables with fake fall colored leaves. Then had some votive candles sitting alongside. it was stunning and the kids and adults alike loved looking at all of the pictures. Cut them off, attach them to a new base and bring them to the hall to put into an area, with some straw bales and other farming/ranching items? Maybe a bale rack? Or put that just outside the hall. centerpieces of sunflowers, cat tails, grasses, in a canning jar, with a bandana tied in a bow? Post By mary (Guest Post) RE: Cattleman's Banquet Decorations
Could you use barbed wire and horseshoes somehow with a "fake" sunflower in a vase in the center? A friend of mine has a post with a welcome sign on it, sunflowers vining on it. Barbed wire made into a circle and hung on the welcome sign and the horseshoe at the base of the post. Very "country"ish. Just an idea. Post by valleyrimgirl |
