Dry Sunburned SkinSunburned Samantha Feedback About This Post:RE: Dry Sunburned SkinBuy a can of Carnation whole evaporated milk (not the skim). Use soft cotton balls to apply the milk to your sunburn. It is healing and also makes the skin feel soothed if you refrigerate the canned milk prior to using it. Post by Dibbs RE: Dry Sunburned Skin
Aloe, Tea Tree Gel, and Rosehip lotion works like a charm Post by JayRae386 RE: Dry Sunburned SkinOh my face got so burnt on the weekend. Now I'm going to work everyday hiding away, covering myself, it's the worst feeling! It's been 3 days now I think it's getting better. My skin is starting to get slight tight I've been moisturizing heaps. I hope I don't peel. Post By anthony (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinMy whole left side got severely burned. It is very hard and tight. I've done everything from Apple cider vinegar to reapplied applications of aloe. Nothing is working. It's still tight and hard like leather. I'm afraid I severely damaged my skin. It almost looks like I aged 40 years. ( Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinI got sunburned on my chin. Its not peeled or anything its just my skin is lighter on my chin than my whole face, in other words my chin is lighter than my skin color. How should I treat this? Post By marquis (Guest Post) How long after microdermabrasion should i waitHow long should I wait after microdermabrasion, to remove the ruff area's of mending skin. Very, very small scabs I guess you could say. Post By Debbie (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinMoisturize, moisturize and more moisturizing It's the key to sun burnt skin and AFTER SUN! Post By nicola (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinI have sensitive skin towards the sun and UV rays, but I just recently found out my skin is a lot more sensitive then I had previously thought, because I'm working as a cart pusher and I got sun burnt, I was like ok in 3-4 days. I'll start peeling like I normally do. Well 5 days later, I'm back out working 10 am-7 pm took my break as normal or work and about 30 mins. from my lunch I noticed blisters and darker areas of red which the skin is really tight and hurts bad, tho rest of my burns, the pain is all gone except those few areas of really tight skin. Hi everyone! Post By Amy (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skin
I got burnt a lot. I was sitting in the sun for about 6 hours but the thing is it was only a 24 degree day and it was very windy so I didn't realize the damage I was doing to myself. Post By Maria. (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skinmy skin is peeling and it looks disgusting! I dont even feel like going out into the public Post By olivia (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skini also just got sunburn on my shoulder. i have a big patch of brown but it isn't peeling. does that mean it'll scar and i'll have a brown patch on my shoulder forever? Post By vanessa (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skini got sunburned and there shades off white like not all my skin is the same color where i got burned what does this mean? Post By Meli (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skin
If I peel off the dry skin, will my face scar? Post By Olivia (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinBuy a decent moisturiser and apply several times throughout the day. Don-t wear makeup, which will dry your skin even more and prevent the moisturiser from working. Try to get a rich oilbased one, eg apricot kernel oil. Post By Cathy (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned SkinGlycerine will help moisturize it. You can find a bottle of this in the pharmacy area of any store and by the first aid too. There is a product called Aquaphor that contains glycerine that can be found with the hand creams and stuff like that. That works great for me. Post by phishphan98 RE: Dry Sunburned SkinA cool bath of apple cider vinegar helps take the burn out of sunburn. At first it stings, but after a bit, it starts working. Make your water as cool as you can stand it. Soak the sunburnt areas. Post by badwater RE: Dry Sunburned SkinI always use Vitamin E in the capsule form on sunburns. Post By MB in WY (Guest Post) RE: Dry Sunburned Skinif it's blistered i'm sorry to say it's going to peel. there's nothing you can do to prevent it. however, you can disguise the peeling with a lightweight moisturizer. fragrance free is important to not irritate it. also, you'll want to cleanse with something mild like cetaphil (generic is ok) which is ph balanced and non-soap. a cold compress of milk and cucumber soaked washcloth and some ibuprofen will help ease the pain and swelling i'm sure you're experiencing. my sympathies are with you. i too sunburned my face this past weekend (thankfully it was only a mild burn). chalk it up to spring fever and being too lazy/defiant/ignorant to put on sun screen. I agree with the tip about using aloe vera gel It's wonderful for burns. Be sure you use pure aloe gel and not lotion as they only contain a small amount of aloe. Apply frequently. Good luck. Post by Joankay RE: Dry Sunburned Skin
